While reading the news.admin.net-abuse.usenet newsgroup, I came across a short message mentioning that the rec.collecting.coins newsgroup is being sued because the plaintiff was flamed (ref: http://bscicoins.com/case/page1.html).
For those of you who aren’t familiar with newsgroups, they are basically distributed messaging groups that have existed on the Internet since before most people had even heard of it. The “Big 8” newsgroups are collectively known as Usenet.

I have friends who play EverQuest who have bought and sold things in the game using eBay, but I don’t think any of them have shelled out as much money as this gamer did for island in Project Entropia.
AP reports that an elderly driver in France followed his onboard GPS’ instructions to a T when it told him “make a U-turn immediately”. Unfortunately, he was travelling on a 130km/h highway at the time and collided with another vehicle. Fortunately, however, no one was injured.
The scary bit is that this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.

The BBC has an interesting piece about the Inuit language online. It also refers to attavik.net which has a content management system which supports Inuktitut.
